The Neumont Acceptance Committee is looking for future leaders in the field of technology, people who will be known for their technology expertise, business acumen, capacity to innovate, and motivation to succeed. As part of the admissions process we evaluate the whole student and your potential to do well in our rigorous program. We'll evaluate your past academic performance, technical knowledge, and level of motivation. During the application process, be prepared to provide information on the following:
- Academic Record - Standardized test scores (ACT & SAT) and your GPA.
- Technology Experience - Technical proficiencies, advanced coursework, employment, or extensive self study in computer related areas.
- Leadership Potential - Student government experience, clubs and organizations, management experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Community Service - Volunteer service, extended church service, or exceptional commitment to improving the community in which you live.
- Work History - Computer, physical sciences, or mathematics-related professional experience.
ADMISSIONS CRITERIA:
The Committee looks to accept students who show an ability to thrive in our rigorous program, and a strong work ethic that will meet or exceed the expectations of our Industry Partners. Applications are evaluated individually, and based on the student's complete picture of accomplishment and aptitude. The Committee evaluates:
- Standardized test scores (ACT/SAT)
- GPA and rigor of the student's course load
- Short and long answer essay questions
- Work and life experience
- Letters of recommendation
- Community service
- Completion of computer science courses in a previous program (high school or college)
- A self-evaluation showing a self-awareness of the student's individual strengths and weaknesses
